BADEN'YA PRODUCTIONS
Baden'ya Productions is the production arm of WADaBo and is focused on bringing
high quality West African arts to audiences world-wide. Baden'ya Productions
has grown out of the work that WADaBo founding member Erich Ludwig has done
for West African artists since the winter of 2001-2002. Since that time, Erich
has produced shows in RI, CT, NY, MA, CO and Fiji. Baden'ya Productions can
handle:

BADEN'YA Productions is currently booking the following acts:
Troupe Baden'ya: Available
for large theater shows, smaller venues, school shows, school workshops, school
demonstrations, community groups and various other functions. This troupe is
made up of up to 20 artists from Mali, West Africa. Smaller shows will be performed
by 1-5 members of the troupe. Larger shows require guarantees and transportation/housing
allowances. This troupe does dancing, drumming, singing, instrumental work.

Issa Coulibaly: Available for small to medium size venues,
school shows, school workshops, school demonstrations, community groups and
various other functions. Issa Coulibaly is currently a contractor for Brown
University, and has played with numerous "big-time" artists, including
world-touring with Nahawa
Doumbia. Issa can be heard on the Yankaw and Yaala recordings, playing percussion
and doing back-up singing. His current group is made up of 1-5 master artists
from West Africa along with Issa's rigourously trained student percussionists.
This group does drumming, singing, and music.

Mohamed Joh Camara &
Troupe Sewa: Available for small to medium size venues, school
shows, school workshops, school demonstrations, community groups and various
other functions. This group is made up of 1-5 master artists from West Africa
along with Joh's rigourously trained semi-professional dance troupe made up
of students who have been studying with Joh for up to 10 years and most of whom
have travelled and studied in West Africa. This troupe does dancing, drumming,
singing.

Moussa Traore and
Timinandi: Available for small to medium size venues, school shows,
school workshops, school demonstrations, community groups and various other
functions. This group is made up of 1-3 master artists from Mali along with
students who have been studying with Moussa for up to 10 years and all of whom
have travelled and studied in West Africa.

Fatou N'Diaye & Group Silimbo: Available for small to
medium size venues, school shows, school workshops, school demonstrations, community
groups and various other functions. This group is made up of 1-5 master artists
from Senegal along with students who have been studying with Fatou for up to
15 years and some of whom have travelled and studied in West Africa.

ERICH LUDWIG BIO
Erich R. Ludwig is the Vice-President of Artist & Label Relations with Calabash
Music, the World’s First Fair Trade Music Company. Both a life-long activist
and musician, Erich has brought his passion for travel and music into an arena
where he promotes equity and empowerment of musicians from around the world.
As the founder of WADaBo (the West African Dance in Boston collective) and Baden’ya
Productions (an artist management agency), Erich has worked with, managed, and
promoted artists from across Africa and North America. He has traveled extensively
in West Africa, South Africa, Europe, the Pacific Islands, and the Americas
pursuing innovative music while working to contribute to, and create a world-music
market directed by the artists themselves.
